IEM provided a turnkey solution for a data center located in Sunnyvale, California. IEM was asked to rig out an aluminum wound, dry-type G.E. transformer, transport then rewind with copper, and transport/re-install/start-up/test the repaired transformer. Our client needed a 2-3 week turnaround for the repair. The rigging and re-install would be performed on Saturday outages to begin and complete the job with test reports due 10 days later.
IEM’s success on this project got our customer back in operation with a more efficient unit. We’re now their vendor of choice that supports their substation, switchyard, UPS, motors, and scheduled field service.
